My Catholic education gave me super spidey sense for dangerous socio/psychopaths and narcissists (they love positions of authority or power) but I've also learned a few tricks since.

The pity party is the major warning - anyone whining about their life or how badly everyone treats them is setting you up. It's always someone else at fault too, never them. They were never the ones responsible.

If your dogs don't like them - This came from my junkyard era, the dogs are never wrong.

No empathy or sympathy - watch how they treat others. How they treat waitstaff in a restaurant is a good clue.

Will not admit they're at fault or wrong or forgive others.

Pushing on your boundaries repeatedly.

They announce or tell, never ask.

Emotionally cold overall.

Yes I agree although in this instance my dog did like them Maybe she's just too friendly.
And yes while they "bought" everything and while they are in default so everything is no longer "theirs", until a court judgement is heard there is nothing that any law inforcement officer or anyone else can do to them. It is extremely frustrating but I am finally happy to have some forward progress and know that eventually this will be decided in my favor and they will pay for their misdeeds.

FYI the dude who was going to buy the equipment and move into the shop just cancelled the deal. I think he had a crappy show at Bellevue last weekend and got scared. Anyway check out the for sale section for a complete and running studio going for a song. Thanks

At different times in my career I worked with the person who really was at the top of the "A" team and the person at the top of the "B" team. What struck me in both was their capacity to make shit up about themselves and their roles in glass. In both instances, I was clearly delivering a product for them and in one, I was a relatively minor cog but held an incredible irritating and unremovable spot in this strange world. I'm not trying to say I was irreplaceable because I wasn't. There were far more many far more talented people in that world. I just had these odd interests. Now, I look at what gets regularly made at Tacoma and I'm shaking my head at how inadequate it feels for me to have ever thought what I did had any significance at all.
But it actually did. When I see the narcissistic sociopaths that occasion any occupation, I draw a deep breath There's a bunch. Some come here and I tend to chuck them out after listening for a while. I think of Barb and her early warning system on Narcissistic behavior. It's a heartbeat away from sociopaths.

If I occasionally run Craftweb badly, I apologize in advance of doing it some more. Expect it. , it's been fifteen years now. It seems like yesterday. Stuart Udall taught me that this crap requires constant vigilance.

I miss him.

We probably really need an escrow company to manage these sales. I'm so sorry Barb. We get so close. So, that's business opportunity waiting to happen.

Don't know anywhere else you can get two annealers, a 300 lb stadleman, two glory holes, a pipe warmer, a marver, bench and exhaust system all in place ready to use in a wonderful location for $20K.

7 years ago I bought a similar setup for $5000.00. Basically a full hotshop.

It's a buyers market when someone can always just build it all themselves.
