Sculpture Shipping Information
I have a need to ship some massive sculptures and am looking for recommendations on people or courier services that can reliably transport and deliver work to galleries.
Can anyone here make a recommendation?

I would call Habitat, or equivalent David. They would have such contacts reasonably regularly. There are certainly others. Do youhave contact with Chris Ris? Chihuly Inc might have it. Seattle galleries abound.
I lived in that world back when Mary Beth made unshippable work. It was always strange. Sometimes, at ten at night, some guy would show up at the door with a 59 ford with Louisiana plates holding a piece like it was a baby. It really worked, but jeez, you needed faith. It's true in the horse moving biz as well. When we brought our three across the country, the price varied from 800 to 25000 dollars per horse. Ours arrived at 4:00 AM in a sixteen horse stall AC /heat controlled semi. The guys never went home. They were leaving us to drop two horses in Portland and pick up three in Augusta. Then, on to Detroit. A strange yet reliable underground.
