Hot Shop Closing - Glass Equipment for Sale

Hello everyone. After 20+ years Fire & Light in Arcata, CA is closing.

We have annealing ovens, presses, brand new AZS bricks and other equipment for sale.

Electric, top loading, double door (with counter weights), soft brick lined annealing ovens. Inside dimensions are 58” wide, 26” deep and 20” high. Outside dimensions (with counterweight) 76” wide, 54” deep and 88”high. Max temp 1200. $750 each plus shipping. (Have seven ovens this size).

Electric, top loading, singe door (with counter weight), soft brick lined annealing oven. Inside dimensions are 27” wide, 27” deep and 15” high. Outside dimensions (with counterweight) 52” wide, 39” deep and 75”high. Max temp 1200. $500 plus shipping. (Have one oven this size).

Electric, top loading, single door (with counter weight), soft brick lined annealing oven. Inside dimensions are 39” wide, 39” deep and 18” high. Outside dimensions (with counterweight) 53” wide, 61” deep and 98”high. Max temp 1200. $500 plus shipping. (Have one oven this size)

Digitry GB4 Temperature controller in console with 3 pole relays (will work with 2) $750 each plus shipping (two controllers available).

Electric Paragon Crucible Kiln. 240 volt, 30 amp, Max Temp 2380.

Hydraulic press with cooling fan, and torch minder. (Two presses available) $600 each plus shipping.

Arbor press with cooling fan and torch minder. (Two presses available) $300 each plus shipping.

Small table top sidearm press with cooling fan and torch minder $250 each plus shipping.

Classic old side arm press. This one should be in a museum. It used to be in Super Glass. Modified with a cooling fan and torch minder. I’m not sure of the price but I’m thinking $1,900 plus shipping. If interested make me an offer.

Sweco Separator 1140 rpm. 16” diameter. $500 plus shipping

Reliance Electric Sabre 15hp blower. $500 plus shipping

Yeah, I'm on the wrong side of the country (and don't have a hot shop currently...minor detail), but these are some excellent prices.

Anybody with a shop on the west coast who wants to add some tooling or equipment to your life, rent a truck and make a road trip

It should be a cautionary tale for anyone who has fantasies about what new equipment should sell for once used.

It makes the depreciation on a new car driven off the lot look like a deal.

White elephants. I live in a world filled with them.
