Blow hose tubing
Can you get blow hose tubing in Home Depot?
I don’t like the clear hose for aquariums. Where else can you get the hose. Franklin |

Doubtful. Look for latex tourniquet tubing.

Surgical tubing works quite well and is available in many pharmacies here. Purchase by the foot is reasonably priced.

Franklin, spearfishermen and fishing lure makers use surgical tubing. Head to the waterfront.

or in your case, the pharmacia. It's pricey stuff actually. Maybe some local herion addict has some available.

Make sure to use an alcohol swab.

Franklin,
Another suggestion is to visit Island Hobbies in Port of Spain. Check to see if they have silicone fuel tubing for radio controlled models powered by little nitromethane/methanol engines. Should fit the bill, and probably will last longer before deteriorating, compared to the surgical type latex hose. |

Amazon choices
"Natural Latex Rubber Tubing"
1/4" OD https://www.amazon.com/Spearit-Latex...ateway&sr=8-12 1/5" OD https://www.amazon.com/AIRSOFTPEAK-S...y&sr=8-11&th=1 I've purchased blow hoses with black tubing which is more flexible than some latex hoses, but I don't know what it's called. The price for the above are right, if they work... |

Thanks. None here. The hospital have none they use a glove to tie off the arm. We have been trying to deal with the huge influx of Venezuela immigrants. They will further burden our struggling public health but I feel so sad for them. Unfortunately there are some bad ones in the crowd.
I am ok with my blowhose for now but preparing to get some spares. Franklin |

I wouldn’t want any latex tubing with less then a 1/4” ID and a 1/16” wall.
6mm ID and 1.6mm wall thickness for our fractionaly challenged friends. Anything smaller makes you work harder blowing and anything thinner kinks at the most inopportune moment. This my personal observation I know some might disagree. |

I'm a lot like a labrador with a mailbox around those things. I tried it. Eventually someone took pity on me and set me free.

I live well without it and sleep well at night knowing it's somewhere lost in the building.

Physical Therapists use a product called theratube. It works really well.

What about the other part near the mouth piece. The tube that fits over the blow pipe

Franklin, why are you trying to reinvent the wheel? If you have to re-engineer the tubing and the mouthpiece why not just buy one that works from Olympic or Wale Apparatus?

Automotive heater hose 1” will fit snugly on the blowpipe. A rubber stopper or cork in the end of that to connect your swivel. For the mouth piece I’ve seen everything from custom glass ones to repurpose of an old ink pen. I little imagination and ingenuity. This is a lot easier then designing and making art glass.
My guess is if Olympic would deliver to Trinidad this wouldn’t be a discussion. Not to dismiss if Olympic made such a great blow hose set up why would so many make their own. I could critique that but if you read my posts above you will gleam my decision to make my own rather then buy one off the shelf. Firekist 1/4” 90degree double swivel for the win. If you own one you understand people that don’t own one will say it’s not worth the extra money. |
